Competition information
Frequency
Every four months PICZ (the International Photo Club of Zurich) organise a new competition.
Themes
The themes vary and try to cover a broad scope of subject, style, influences and techniques. Our competitions aim at stimulating your photography skills and interest. It also gives you the chance to compare your interpretation of the theme with that of the other participants.
Prizes
Two prizes are awardedfor each contest:
The PICZ Jury prize: an external jury composed of professional photographers (jury composition available here) evaluates the submissions and awards a “jury prize”. Our jury evaluation criteria are : conformance to the theme, creativity, message/genuineness, technical quality of the picture.
The public prize: this is based on the image that has gathered the highest number of votes from our members. The voting process is fully managed online and the live result can be observed in real time
Fee
Participation is free for all registered PICZ members. A participation of 5CHF is requested for non-member to participate (contest payment page available here)
